How Do I Setup My Email Client?
 
Netscape Messenger 4.04-4.08
  1. Open Netscape Messenger.
  2. Click the Next button.
  3. In the Your name field, type your name. In the E-mail address field, type your Intra-Connect e-mail address. In the Outgoing mail [SMTP] server field, type the SMTP mail server name specific to your domain (i.e. mail.intra-connect.net for Intra-Connect). Click the Next button.
  4. In the Mail server user name field, type your username . In the Incoming Mail Server field, type the POP3 mail server name specific to your domain (i.e. mail.intra-connect.net for Intra-Connect). Click the POP3 radio button in the Mail Server type area. Click the Next button.
Netscape Mail 6.0
  1. Open Netscape 6.
  2. From the Tasks menu, choose Mail.
  3. Select ISP or email provider. Click the Next button.
  4. In the Your Name field, type your full name. In the Email Address field, type your email address. Click the Next button.
  5. Click the down arrow on the Server Type drop-down list and choose POP Mail Server. In the Incoming Server area, type the POP3 server for your domain in the Server Name box. In the Outgoing (SMTP) Server area, type the SMTP server for your domain in the Server Name box. Click the Next button.
  6. In the User Name field, type your email address. Click the Next button.
  7. In the Account Name field, type a name to identify the email account. Click the Next button.
  8. Click the Finish button.
Outlook Express 6.0
  1. Open Outlook Express.
  2. From the Tools menu, choose Accounts.
  3. Click the Add button and choose Mail.
  4. In the Display name field, type your full name. Click the Next button.
  5. In the E-mail address field, type your email address. Click the Next button.
  6. Click the down arrow on the My incoming mail is a ____ server drop-down list and choose POP3. In the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server field, type the POP3 server for your domain (ie. mail.intra-connect.net). In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field, type the SMTP server for your domain (ie. mail.intra-connect.net). Click the Next button.
  7. In the Account name field, type your username (i.e. - joeuser@intra-connect.net). In the Password field, type your password. Check the box next to Remember password if you wish to save your password. Click the Next button.
  8. Click the Finish button.
  9. Click the Close button.
Outlook 2000
  1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2000.
  2. From the Tools menu, choose Services.
  3. Click the Add button.
  4. Select Internet E-mail in the Available information services list. Click the OK button.
  5. Click on the General tab. In the Mail Account field, type "Intra-Connect". In the Name field, type your full name. In the E-mail address field, type your email address.
  6. Click on the Servers tab. In the Incoming mail (POP3) field, type your POP3 server (mail.intra-conenct.net). In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) field, type your SMTP server. In the Account name field, type your email address. In the Password field, type your password. Click the OK button.
  7. Click OK until all Outlook 2000 dialogs are closed.
Outlook 2002
  1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2002. If Outlook prompts you to connect to the Internet, click on Cancel. You do not need to be connected to the Internet to configure your Outlook settings. If you are starting up Outlook 2002 for the first time since you installed it, then the Startup wizard will begin automatically.
  2. From the drop-down menu marked "Tools" select "Accounts." (To Expand the menu hover/click over the 2 small arrows pointing down... ) The Mail setup Wizard of Outlook 2002 will be opened. This is a step-by-step guide to setting up a new email account with Outlook 2002.
  3. Click Next to continue.
  4. Select 'yes', as we would like to configure new email account now. Click Next.
  5. Select 'POP3' from the list. Then Click Next
  6. This is the main e-mail settings window in Outlook 2002. most of the main settings are configured here.

    In the User Information section, Enter Your name in the 'Your name' field.

    Enter your e-mail address in the 'E-mail address' section.
    Your E-Mail address is your User name [eg: jsmith] followed by intra-connect.net
    e.g. jsmith@intra-connect.net

    In the Server Information section,
    enter this in the incoming mail server (POP3) field :mail.intra-connect.net
    enter this in the outgoing mail server (SMTP) field :mail.intra-connect.net

    In the Logon Information section,
    Enter your Logon username (the one you dial in to your account with.)
    and enter your corresponding dialup password in the 'password' field.

    If you are connected to the internet at this point, you may wish to test out the settings by clicking on the 'Test account settings' button.

    Click on Next.

  7. Click finish to return to the Outlook 2002 main interface.
